We stayed in Ty Mawr cottage for our anniversary and it was perfection. The views across the countryside are stunning, and the cottage itself has so much character. It was the perfect 'slow-down' break we needed. We spent our evenings by the fire pit under the stars. The hosts are incredibly welcoming and clearly take great pride in the farm. We cannot wait to return!

It can be hard to find a farm stay that is truly dog-friendly, but Highland Cow Camping got it spot on. As long as you keep your pups on a lead (which is only fair given the beautiful cattle nearby!), it’s a brilliant base. We stayed in Tal-y-bont cottage and it was so cosy and warm. The kitchen had everything we needed for a self-catering stay. Highly recommend for a relaxing break with your four-legged friends.

We’ve stayed at many sites across North Wales, but this is now one of our favourites. The hard-standing pitches are level and spacious, with easy-access electric hook-ups that worked perfectly for our motorhome. It’s a very tidy site with a lovely communal seating area. Being a working farm, it has such an authentic feel. We’ll definitely be looking into their seasonal pitches for next year!

Ideally located for anyone exploring the mountains near Bala. I booked a grass tent pitch for a few nights of solo hiking. The site is incredibly quiet, and the 'silence after midnight' rule is actually respected here, which is rare! I loved having access to a tumble dryer to dry off my gear after a rainy day on the hills. Waking up to the mist over the fields with the cows grazing nearby was pure peace.

Absolutely loved our stay at Highland Cow Camping! The views across the North Wales countryside were stunning, and the cottages were spotless and cosy. Waking up to the sound of birds and seeing the Highland cows nearby made it extra special. We’ll definitely be back.

Our cottages, Ty Mawr and Tal-y-bont, are fully equipped for a comfortable and stress-free stay. Each cottage features a fully equipped kitchen with essential appliances and cookware, a cosy living and dining area, and a private bathroom. Are the cottages dog-friendly?
Yes, we welcome well-behaved dogs in our cottages! We understand that a countryside holiday is better with your four-legged friends. However, as we are a working farm with Highland cows and other livestock, we require that all dogs are kept on a lead at all times while outside on the grounds to ensure the safety of our animals and other guests.

Yes, we provide free on-site parking specifically for our cottage guests. The parking area is located close to Ty Mawr and Tal-y-bont, making it simple and stress-free to unload your luggage and groceries upon arrival.
